Box Me In Dishcloth

Last month I was participating in a dishcloth swap and wanted something new to make. I decided to create my own design. I knew I wanted something that had raised 'ridges' and something that was fairly quick and easy to reproduce. I like the look of the knit waffle stitch cloth and wanted to try it in crochet. Here is my results:

MATERIALS:

4 ply Cotton Yarn
Hook Size H

Gauge: not important

Stitches: ch, dc, fpdc, bpdc

fpdc=Front Post Double Crochet-yo, insert hook around post of stitch in previous row (from front to back), yo, pull through, bring up even with last stitch completed, yo, pull through 2 loops, (2 loops on hook), yo, pull through rem 2 lps to complete stitch

bpdc=Back Post Double Crochet-yo, insert hook into back of work around post of stitch in previous row (from back to front), yo, pull through, bring up even with last stitch completed, yo, pull through 2 loops, (2 loops on hook), yo, pull through rem 2 lps to complete stitch

Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM

Foundation: Chain 30

R 1: dc in 3th chain from hook and each ch to end (27 dc), ch 2

R2: DC in each of next three st. *2 fpdc in 2 dc of previous row, dc in next 4 st* repeat *to* to end. Ch 2

R3: DC in each of next three st. *2 bpdc in 2 fpdc of previous row, dc in next 4 st* repeat *to* to end. Ch 2

R4: fpdc to end, Ch 2

R5:

I love the pic. Is this all the pattern or is there more that I've overlooked. What I've got ends with Rnd 5: ____________

I think the dishcloth is pretty and I would like to learn the fpdc and bpdc. What I see also ends with R4.

I Love the pic also. I am assuming that you just keep repeating the 4 rows shown until its the size of cloth you want, but i am not sure. Correct me if i am wrong please.

I am sorry about that - the rest of the post did not show up. I will get that fixed this week. There is much more, but it is a repeat of the previous - only it is opposite.
